Be There

Reducing Stigma and Encouraging Recovery

We recognize many of you have demanding jobs unrelated to advertising and communications and this toolkit has been prepared as a resource to assist you.

The key messaging in the toolkit materials is that simply being there with support and compassion for those facing substance and opioid use disorder can be the most important ingredient in recovery and can make the difference between success and failure, particularly in rural areas.

Thoughtful care and input by rural health advocates around the nation has been utilized to ensure the right audience, tone and message are used to provide hope and encourage family, friends, colleagues and communities to be part of the solution and improve recovery outcomes.
